artist bio

Izzie Arrowsmith is a multidisciplinary artist from Walsall, UK. Holding a BA in Fine Art from Coventry University, and an MA in Art and Design: Interdisciplinary Practices from BCU, she specialises in printmaking and animation.

Izzie’s practice is primarily concerned with the relationship between human beings and technology through the lens of Posthuman theory. Her work, often taking the form of animated phenakistoscopes, combines traditional and digital processes to explore the liminal space between virtuality and physicality in our increasingly digital society.

In 2023, she completed her first artist residency with Stryx Gallery at their Jewellery Quarter site, where she held a studio space until relocating to Walsall in 2026.

For the past two years, Izzie has enjoyed commercial success creating zoetrope vinyls for musicians represented by record labels such as Sony Music, BMG, and SO Recordings. She has also been commissioned zoetrope work for art exhibitions, product design, and music events across the UK, USA, Europe and Asia.
